How to convince yourself to be motivated every day

As an entrepreneur, many times I have had no leader to help me find my way, set my goal, or motivate me. In most situations and especially building a startup from the ground up can often feel like you’re a lone wolf riding a rollercoaster of ups and downs.
Everyone knows someone — or is that someone — who has broken their New Year’s resolutions halfway through January. Change is easy to envision but hard to make stick. When it’s down to you to make your business grow and thrive, how do you keep making substantial progress every day? Month over month, and year over year?
Eventually, I took the responsibility upon myself to learn how. I learned about meditation and forms of Buddhism, and I picked up books about how to win friends and influence people.
